A New Code Geass
Maybe some of you have heard; maybe some of you haven’t. There have been some hints about a new Code Geass.
UPDATE: Great News Geass Fans!! It’s been confirmed that a new series has been green lit with more information coming in 2010. Here is the article at Anime News Network! The only thing we can say for sure is Zero will be present. BUT since Zero can be anyone this doesn’t tell us the time frame except it’s post Seasons One and Two. Will Lelouche come back, will Suzaku continue the Legacy, or will someone completely different take up the mantle of justice incarnate? I guess we’ll find out

There have already been several responses to this news both positive and negative. I personally want the Code Geass franchise to continue. Even if they don’t tell the story of the characters we’ve come to know (I want more Nunnally and C.C. though…) it’s still an interesting world with a cool concept behind it. Personally I would like another Code Geass over another Gundam series, but I’m sure I won’t make too many friends by saying that.
If they do bring it back I’m not sure about where I stand on
. Truthfully I think the ending was beautiful and heart wrenching. Maybe it was just Nunnally crying mournfully over the shouts of “Zero”. Maybe it was sacrificing yourself to draw in all of the hate in the world. Who knows what made me think the ending was beautiful? What I do know however is if they do make another Code Geass they’ll have quite a bit to live up to in terms of cool characters. I’m well aware of the various large plot holes in the original series and how characters didn’t stay dead very long, but I’ve always thought that anime is about entertainment and Code Geass never ceased entertaining me.
I’m not sure how I feel about them doing one of the spin offs like the Nightmare of Nunnally. I like it well enough but a lot of the plot is the same stuff from the original series with a few more characters and a few different resolutions. I would personally like to see an entirely new story either after the events of the current two series or before Lelouch was born. I would really like to see C.C.’s encounters with different people in the past. Can we get a Code Geass the life of C.C. please!!!
In conclusion I say bring on more Code Geass so I can laugh at plot developments and ogle C.C. some more. Seriously it’s a really fun show and if you haven’t seen it you should.

Whoa another season!? Not a bad idea. I also want to know more about C.C. (like her name for instance..) and the nature of the Geass. Also, Code Geass + Jason = Good times. Perhaps this will revive him?
No joke. I think the real reason he stopped blogging is because he couldn’t say “Oh Geass No” as much as he wanted.
From the sounds of things the season itself is definitely coming but they probably haven’t started work on it yet. They aren’t going to let a chance to make money slip through their fingers. They’d have to be insane.
I say that if they are going to make another code geass then they should base it off from feudle japan before mech came along and it would explian the concept of geass and how CC lost her memmory

code geass is the one of the best anime shows out there! I love how u never know who lelouch actually likes but they give you an idea but never confirm it! I haven’t seen all the episodes yet but I know their going to be good! are they going to make another season? they would be crazy not to! Code Geass is so beautiful and yet heartwrenching at times……i was sad to see Lelouch die but hope he will be granted imortalialy like C.C! I really wish they wouldn’t kill off so many chacters though….i really liked Euphie and Shirley. Oh well….Code geass is great and I love every minute of it! More I want more!
Nice comment. Code Geass is a very entertaining show. They will probably make another season as you said “they would be crazy not too”. This is the same production company that pumps out gundam series for the money and Code Geass was far more successful. I think they almost had to kill off characters in order to let us know the impact of war. They killed off tons of nameless characters and they aren’t just playing some game. They’re trying to kill each other.
well hopefully they will make another season because so far they have all been great and I think they should talk about C.C’s past. I think everyone wants to know what’s up with her and what her real name is
really though….i understand they are in a war but eventually their going to have to make up a whole new cast of chacters at this rate! they even killed Lelouch and the show was mainly about him….but they should diffently do part of the next season on C.C or one of the other chacters so we can have a bir of a background on everyone….but hey that’s just me and I’m blonde so whatever….
Code Geass was about Lelouch It’s “sub”title was “Lelouch of the rebellion”. Needless to say without the focus being Lelouch the entire focus of the show will change.
Hmm, You’re selling yourself short because of your hair color? On this blog we judge you not by the color of your hair but by the content of your character. I agree we all want to know more about C.C. and I think it’s a given that she will appear if they make another Code Geass no matter when or where the new show takes place. The great thing about having an immortal witch as a star character is she can literally appear anywhere and in any plot.
Personally I would like a new cast of characters (with the exception of C.C.). I think the characters that didn’t kick the bucket got a nice ending, and if they add more strife and conflict it would completely undue all of Lelouch’s sacrifice. If they do it in the future after humans remembered they hate each other that would be ok with me too. I personally would like more Anya, but that’s just me…
Since Sunrise owns the series and assumedly will make the sequel if there is one we can only count on them trying to include a little bit of everything. I think all the fans can’t possibly be too dissapointed with whatever they decide on.
I personaly think that when they killed Lelouch it was almost the unexpected thing. But more over i dont think they could just kill off Lelouch like that so i hope and i mean hope they bring back Lelouch to fight some unknown enemy but gets me is that when C-2 says the power of Geass will cause you soultude….right Lelouch. I think some how hes there next to her and i think that was the biggest left up in the air kinda thing ive ever seen in real movies and anime so lets hope that Lelouch comes back….and the nightmares as well
God I hate this god damn show… but not because it’s bad or anything, quite the contrary I’m just angry about all of the sleep it deprived me of. However, that always means that due to my sleepless daze i might have missed a few details so i have a reason to watch it again!
Although i found the ending to be fitting I believe that a new season is a spectacular idea. I can’t imagine there being a single CG fan not interested in learning about the origin of Geass and C-2’s past!
You are a true fan CrimeOcean and I salute you!! I’ve read some great stuff on Lelouch being alive, but I do like the wrap up of him being dead as well. It was a beautiful moment.

NO NOT ANOTHER SEASON. If your going to then make it about CC’s past or something. The ending of Code Geass was too beautiful to destroy. Theres so much left unanwsered and random conspiracies that Lelouch is still alive. I think this was one of teh best ways to end the anime, the whole world … on Lelouch. Beautiful. Applaud the story writers.
i think another season a great idea they definately should have cc in it and if lelouch was in it i would be pleased because he is one of my favourite characters in anime but also a bit disapointed because it would ruin the ending it would have to be a really good series other r2 would just be ruined although, that idea about the whole immortality thing might be good they could have lelouch granting someone else geass..continuing the cycle like it would have if he had completed his contract with cc. but i dont it should be good any way i heard cc was in it and there a main character called renya and someone who resemble lelouch.
I think the Reyna and CC thing you are referring to is the manga that is going to come out at the same time as the anime. This isn’t what the anime itself is going to be about.

You might not of. The more I look the less it looks like a new anime is coming out and more like just the manga with music + art + other stuff.
Honestly, I believe that it may be a continuation of season 1. Sunrise (or somebody like that) had to change a few things in R2 for a younger audience because the time slot had been changed from what it had in season 1. The series may start where season 1 left off. I’m happy because I didn’t care for R2 much, although it was a fine continuation of season 1.
Maybe, that would sure be fun! I wouldn’t mind seeing the time in between. Especially if that means more Anya!
the truth is,,,,,,lelouch is not dead because when he killed his father,,charle’s immortality transfered to lelouch just like what happened to CC why she got her power….CC and Lelouch went to an orange farm and lived there with Anya and Jeremiah….so it’s not impossible for the new code geass and i’m excited about it…..by the way,,,,new manga of code geass will be launched this spring by bandai visual titled Code Geass: Shikkoku no Renya ….renya is the protagonist…a boy who had a mechanical arms…where he will meet C.C and a boy resembles as lelouch(a black long hair guy)…another one is Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally ,,,the another version of code geass..nunnally is the protagonist…where she will have geass from a doll named nemo….just wanted to share this things to those who love code geass out there…hope you like it…
I’ve read all the suspicions of Lelouch being alive as well as the Nightmare of Nunnally and Lelouch being alive isn’t a certainty. It can really go either way and I’m of the opinion that people should believe what they want to believe. Whatever gives them the best ending. If they do bring him back to life (as Sunrise has been known to do) than that will be the only conclusive proof.
in the anime code geass….lelouch is really alive,,,,,they just cut the last part but if we’ll search it,,we can watch that they really went in the orange farm with anya and jeremiah….remember the time that C.C talked with lelouch saying “right Lelouch?”while riding in that kind of cart..i dont know if what’s the term for that cart???….then lellouch is the one driving..he’s face was almost covered with his hat that’s why he can’t be easily notice…..i’ll give you the links for that as the proof then just click and watch…..but then still…for those who don’t know yet the real end of this anime…we can believe the best end for us..but then my only intention is to share the end part of this anime for those who don’t know and wanted to know…but still ,,it depends on us what we would like to think because animes were made for us to entertain and to have fun,,,watching these things….have a good day to everyone…followup comments plz..

Believe it or not I’ve read all of these arguments before, but unfortunately I don’t believe Sunrise to be consistent enough of an anime company to actually look into the writing. Since a lot of what I want to say would just reiterate what’s already been said I will instead point you to two very good pieces of writing on Lelouch being alive or dead.

which goes into quite a bit of detail on why Lelouch could supposedly be alive.
I personally believe that Sunrise’s original intention was to have a dead Lelouch. I know them too well after watching Gundam 00. They think that killing a character gives a series depth and in some ways you have to show death in a war story, however, they made a big mistake by thinking that’s all they needed. Sunrise can really do whatever they want at this point. I would be more surprised if they left him dead when they could milk the franchise for more money. Still, I’m a big believer in writing your own ending for R2. It seems like you want me to help convince you that he’s a live more so here’s another link.

Hi all Big news, i’m waiting for it from a long time !!!, i have also a news for you guys, the true name of C.Cn her true name is SHIZUKU ( shizuku = a drop in japanese) that’s why in the 1st season of code geass lelouch found her true name, also shizuku is prounouced like C.C in japanse ^^
