Darker than Black Second Season
Apparently it was leaked today that Bones is currently working on a sequel to the original Darker than Black. You can read the article on Anime News Network here I’m not sure how I feel about the news. I’m a big fan of Darker than Black and theres a large percentage of me wanting to see more Yin, Hei, and Mao like it’s nobodies business. Plus more beautiful Yoko Kanno music is always greatly appreciated. On the other hand unlike other people I happened to really like the ambiguity of th ending. Also some of my favorite characters are dead… If you haven’t watched the original Darker than Black why haven’t you and go do it before I reveal these spoilers. How can they make a Darker than Black without Novermber 11, Amber, or Huang. Those characters made the first season tick with their quirkiness. I guess they could introduce new characters but they also resolved Hei’s huge moral conflict which was at the center of the first season. I guess I would be happy with 24 episodes of Hei and Yin getting married + the Honey Moon. Oh well I guess I’ll just have to see what they have in mind. For all I really know it could be a prequel or about an entirely different contractor (doubtful though). Your thoughts?

i’m a fan of DTB, too… especially HEIxYIN!… without them, i don’t know any DTB…
they were meant to be together… both black, gloomy and have feelings for each others, isn’t it?… yeah, i hope hei will propose yin to marry him… they match perfectly… i’m sure if BONES do some addition like that, DTB will have lots of fan than before… i’m crazy about them, too… it’s just this season 2 doesn’t bring any joy to me… i couldn’t stand watching hei get involve with another woman/girl… by the way, nice pictures… hope too see more of hei and yin pics, though!;-)

Bones probably won’t resolve any romances since that would make them lose the intrigue. Generally series fail after they resolve romances and this isn’t a Clannad after Story. We like the darkness in Darker than Black, they probably won’t get their happily ever after.
