DTB Shikkoku no Hana Special 2
If you are a DTB fan and haven’t read the two DTB specials for Shikkoku no Hana you really should (They’re short).
I think I sometimes get so caught up in the analysis that I forget why I was initially drawn to Darker than Black: The fantastic and diverse characters. I wish they didn’t kill them off all the time so in many ways this special is a treasure trove for fans and non fans alike. Unfortunately Shikkoku no Hana chapters come out irregularly enough that I sometimes lose the red thread that pulls it together, but I must say that these specials have been more fun than a Kiko and Gui centered arc. The Mangaka has been doing one hell of a job and this special made me crack up at least three times on every page. There’s not much to say, but I’ve left both of the specials now wanting more. That’s pretty much all there is to this post (short I know). I love DTB and in honor of that I’ll post a picture I really shouldn’t.

I haven’t started reading any of the DtB manga yet, though I skimmed through some of the chapters and have placed the series into my “to-read” list for next time.
But I did read the two specials you suggested and dang, were they hilarious. XD
They’re almost like humor parodies but with the characters’ personalities *somewhat* intact. Comedy W1N!! And LOL @ Killer Vegetables. Hazuki is awsm. Wrt the 2nd special, knowing that the event took place within the Gate gave me a nice yet sad feeling of nostalgia; nice because it’s great seeing old faces again, and sad because it was within the Gate.
Still, it’s a fun read. Thanks for the heads up on this! ^^
No Problem. I wasn’t expecting either of the specials to be quite that funny. Like you said they took the characters and put them in over the top situations. It’s a bit like Fumoffu really and I really liked Fumoffu.
I would wait for more chapters to come out before starting in on them. Right now they seem a bit disconnected and I almost wish I could have marathoned them all the first time. I hate waiting five chapters for Yin tidbits. I’m starting to think the biggest problem with being a fan of a series is being disappointed when you can’t be rabid all the time.
Looks like we think alike wrt this. Losing passionate enthusiasm halfway is never a good thing coz that enthusiasm would gradually dwindle over time if a story hasn’t been delivering what it should.
Okay then, I’ll take your advice and wait a little longer before immersing myself in the manga’s story. Based on your statement, it seems better off being marathoned, yes?
I think so. At least until it finishes this arc whenever that is. It seems like it should only take a few more chapters, but who knows. I suppose I should let you know when that happens, but I’ll probably forget.
It looks good where can I read it?
