@Jason + Keiri

Looks like I'll be checking out Black Rock Shooter :)!

@Jason

I have been searching the net for Disappearance every day since it's theater release to no avail. I'm incredibly impatient with the slowness of DVD releases. Doesn't Kyoto know that us American fanboy's desperately want our sarcastic Kyon and Tsundere Haruhi? I'm convinced they must not because I'm about to go their and raid Kyoto Animation's headquarters.

In which case you could just come back and write your fervent disagreements here and we’ll come here and be perversely interested anyway, right? ^^

Maybe :)! It might not be as much fun though. Whenever I write a post like that I start to hate myself a little :P.

As for Mayoi Neko Overrun... I don't know what to say: It's got a bit of that manga To Love-Ru charm mixed with some other elements. I'm in love with the mangaka.

@Keiri

LOL. The absence of fervent disagreements would make discussions dull anyway so fire away! XD

Haha :)

On K-ON!: I'm with you in doubting that it will move towards the original feel. I just hope that Kyoto Animations can turn it into more than it is like they did with Haruhi Season One. Actually if they did the reverse of what they did with Haruhi that would be amazing. Instead of a fantastic season one followed by a mediocre season two they could put out a fantastic season two preceded by mediocre season one.

I didn't notice Angel Beats before, but I certainly do now. I liked Clannad, Kannon, and Air ok(A bit too much dorama sometimes) so I'll definitely have to check that out. Maybe it will be really good :)! We can always hope.

Hmm… Might consider following Mayoi Neko Overun! after your brief review. ^^

As I said in my review up top it will probably be terrible. The commercial made me think of everything I hate about modern anime which is almost never a good sign. On the other hand Nyan Koi exploited this to hilarious effect... Mayoi Neko Overun though (from the three chapters I've read) really needs the minor drama accompanied by the good feelings at the end. It could do really well if it just sticks with a simple formula that doesn't work off the exploitation of the characters for Se*ual fantasies. However, those animes are in short supplies in that genre nowadays so we'll see.

Thanks for the comments both of you :)!

Two, because I want to stalk my fellow bloggers and disagree fervently with every positive thing they say until they are thoroughly sick of me (Just kidding, you guys know you can tell me to shut up and let you enjoy the series anytime right?).

LOL. The absence of fervent disagreements would make discussions dull anyway so fire away! XD

Man, I actually dread anticipating what we'll see with K-ON!! when it comes around despite me being a mindless slave to it. I'm still hopelessly wishing it'll stick to the feel of the original but with the same production staff involved, I pretty much have to incinerate all of my expectations. Well, as long as they keep its status as a comedy intact, I suppose it's...okay. Unnecessary dorama DO.NOT.WANT.

Black Rock Shooter seems to have generated quite an active buzz over the net so it wouldn't hurt to see what the hype is about.

I'm trying out Angel Beats simply because I'm interested to see what Maeda Jun has to offer as a staff representative of Visual Arts/Key. It's prolly another risky series to dump in the regular watch list but I'll give it a couple of episodes and see how it goes.

Rainbow's premise sounds really interesting and it's one I have yet to come across. As for Working!, I've seen Episode 1. I found it quite watchable to a certain extent but I fear the comedy's flavor may be in danger of turning into ditch water quality if the funnies are not executed properly.

When (and if) I finally get a smartphone, I think I'm gonna start pouncing on manga like a hungry beast, and your little paragraph on Mayoi Neko Overrun just made that one of my top targets. I won't be too optimistic with an anime adaptation though, considering what they did with to love ru.

(Just kidding, you guys know you can tell me to shut up and let you enjoy the series anytime right?).

What do you guys think? Anything I left off my list that I really shouldn’t have?

Hmmm, isn't black rock shooter supposed to be on in spring? It looked worth checking out from the previews and from the fact that Ordet is behind the wheels...

And Disappearance is supposed to be on too, though it won't matter to us Gaijins. /unrelated side note
